REDKEN FOR CARLA ZAMPATTI X SPECSAVERS

Australian icon, Carla Zampatti’s recent collaboration with Specsavers makes sense from an identity rarely seen without shades.

The Carla Zampatti X Specsavers drop presents 22 spring-ready designs for the businesswoman to styling millennial. Consisting of 14 opticals and eight prescription sunglasses, the line is a reflection of Carla’s effortless sophistication and dedication to the highest quality.

Presented to the Australian market in classic runway format and at home to MBFWA, Carriageworks, the fresh Specsavers styles played hero accessories to Carla’s AW18 collection with a resounding tick of approval from fashion’s front row.

“The audience seemed to love it—they clapped, which is unusual, isn’t it, in fashion? I mean I’ve been to shows where there is no clapping, so to hear them clap, that is really nice,” Carla told harpersbazaar.com.au.

Redken were on hand with leading lady, Paloma Rose Garcia of Oscar Oscar Paddington. Paloma’s second gig as Hair Director for Carla Zampatti and working alongside stylist Peter Simon Phillips, the artist’s signature well-loved-luxury-finish and supporting techniques are becoming fast synonymous with the brand.

“In usual Carla style the girls had to look extremely polished and sleek,” Paloma begins.

“We went for a centre or slightly off-centre clean part, the finish slick courtesy of a directional blow-dry and subtle tuck behind the ears.”

The final touch arrived in a slight bend through the mid-lengths – all finished with Paloma’s hero product for the show, Redken Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist, “for high voltage shine.”
