A fun and feminine ode to eclectic British style, the looks dreamt up by Moroccanoil’s Global Artistic Director, Kevin Hughes for Alice + Olivia’s NYFW SS23 showing were – put simply – a breath of fresh springtime air.
The brief? Classic styles injected with pops of colour and accessories, bringing to life Alice + Olivia’s playful spirit within each and every hairstyle that stormed the runway. “I really wanted to capture the fun and femininity of this collection, while highlighting the adorable custom scrunchies that Alice + Olivia created!” explained Moroccanoil Global Artistic Director Kevin Hughes. “To do this we decided on a classic bun that is made playful with that pop of colour, and can be achieved on any hair length or texture.”
“Forged out of her own personal experience of decorating a new home in the last year, the SS23 ALIVE + OLIVIA collection presentation puts forth the surreal possibilities of creating an illustrious wardrobe inspired by interior decor. But this is no study in minimalist design. Instead, it nods to a British eclectic style: eccentric and maximalist, sophisticated and dramatic.”
