Kobi Bokshish: Finalist in 2014 INTERNATIONAL VISIONARY AWARDS

Paul Mitchell Master Associate Kobi Bokshish has been selected as one of the finalists in the 2014 INTERNATIONAL VISIONARY AWARD competition. “It is a great honour to be nominated as a finalist for these awards, I am excited to have the opportunity to travel to London and compete against so many talented stylists from around the world,” says Kobi. The International Visionary Awards is a competition developed from the original concept of Alternative Hair President Anthony Mascolo. It celebrates the new generation of talent in hairdressing, while serving as a platform for showcasing the stars of tomorrow during the annual Alternative Hair Show.

2013 AHFA NSW Hairdresser of the Year and Director of Intershape Hairstylists Sydney, Kobi entered his new Iro photographic collection into the prestigious awards. Iro – meaning ‘colour’ in Japanese – conveys a yin and yang of rich, traditional Japanese clothing and the bright, daring adventure of obsessive Harajuku youth fashion. Through the collection Kobi set out to create ‘salon only’ fashion looks for clients, extracting the ebullient colour influence of Japanese fashion culture. “Iro allows colour to ‘pop’ in new ways. My clients will be able to revel in colour at whatever level of intensity that suits them,” he explained.

Kobi will travel to London to take part in the finals which are to be held on the 12th October 2014 during the Alternative Hair Show at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Congratulations, Kobi!
