INSPIRATION: “I wanted to create a look with undone glamour, that remained modern and trendy.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE “I first used Philip Kingsley’s Maximizer Spray to give hair added shine and bounce. I started drying with the ghd air® hairdryer and brushing with the ghd paddle brush. I then separated her hair into 3 sections and finished drying with the ghd ceramic vented radial brush size 2 to create volume. To eliminate frizz I applied Philip Kingsley’s Minimizer to the ends and then smoothed her hair with the new ghd white platinum® styler. This amazing styler features ghd’s tri-zone® technology which allows me to style hair at the optimal temperature of 185 degrees while also giving added shine. I next created a deep side part and braided a section all the way around the back of her head, leaving one section of her hair down. Once I finished the braid, I began pinning back pieces to create a loose style. I used Philip Kingsley’s Texturizer for even more texture, and then sealed in the look with additional bobby pins and Philip Kingsley Weather Proof Hair Spray.”

INSPIRATION: “I wanted her hair to have a classic, yet retro feeling to match her 50’s-style gown.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I prepped her hair with Joico Heat Set and used the ghd air® hairdryer and ghd ceramic vented radial brush size 3. To round the ends under, I left each section around the brush for several seconds after and then removed the heat. I next sprayed Joico Hair Shake on the roots for added volume and starting in the middle, I smoothed out her hair using ghd’s white platinum® styler. This styler is my favourite because it features ghd’s tri-zone® technology which allows me to style hair at the optimal temperature of 185 degrees. This ensures styles last longer without causing extra damage. Lastly, I curled the ends using ghd’s curve® soft curl tong which also features ghd’s tri-zone® technology. The whole barrel remains 185 degrees, ensuring no hair was left un-waved. Lastly, I used my fingers to comb through and set the look with Joico Flip Turn Volumizing Finishing Spray.”

WHO: Kate Hudson
HAIR BY: David Babaii, Brand Ambassador for ghd, North America

INSPIRATION: “I wanted her hair to complement her chic rock and roll, 70’s style.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “First, I dried Kate’s hair using the ghd air® hairdryer and ghd ceramic vented radial brush size 3. I then parted the hair down the left side and divided into three sections: two in the front and one in the back. I smoothed hair with the new ghd platinum® styler. I love this styler because it features ghd’s tri-zone® technology, which allows me to style hair at the optimal temperature of 185 degrees to ensure styles last longer without causing extra damage. I next twisted her hair back into a low bun and pulled out a few loose pieces to create texture. Use bobby pins to secure the style.”
