FAME: Lauren McCowan x Jack Morton on WHY FAME in 2022

M DIVISION Hair and Education Director, Lauren McCowan will join FAME Team Australia Creative Director, Jack Morton in a live discussion uncovering pivotal shifts in this years’ FAME Team entry process. Explaining why the competition has never been more accessible to young stylists around the country.

Global hairdressing’s number one discovery program, the FAME Team has notoriously uncovered some of the world’s greatest in hair art and business: A once in a lifetime journey designed for next gen’s most promising to cut their teeth with the word and wisdom of industry leaders, experts and all-round geniuses before continuing to make a name for themselves in the unlimited world of hair.

With the unprecedented events of the past 12 months, the M DIVISION team in collaboration with FAME Australia Creative Director, Jack Morton, felt it was time to sit down and reassess the entry and education processes in order to meet the new lifestyle code.

“The idea behind the updates (and what the live is about), is to create absolute transparency around how much easier we’ve made it to enter … to excite, inspire and galvanise young stylists during this lockdown time,” starts Lauren.

“Jack and I will discuss the multiple things/activities stylists can do to enter (all achievable from home), and we’ll also provide an insight into what is a pretty incredible program already lined up for 2021 – 2022.”

Taking place on Monday July 26th from 7PM, the live will also present the opportunity for salon owners to engage 15 – 20 minute Zoom sessions with Lauren and/or Jack with the objective of really solidifying the ongoing opportunities and truly invaluable nature of the FAME Team. The sessions will be designed to cultivate interest, excitement and motivation in a team, and will also touch on the new, super simple entry process – accessible to all stylists, no matter where they are or how they’re currently restricted.

“So, while everyone is locked down and there is no real end in sight at the moment, we’ll be available to work with salon owners, get their team excited, and importantly get them excited about this as an exercise for staff,” Lauren explains.

“What have you got to lose? It’s free, and you can now use extra visuals and social media images to enter … there is no requirement for a costly photoshoot. This is about simplifying the process and making FAME as open as humanly possible to young stylists all around the country.”

“The ultimate opportunity for emerging hairdressers to put themselves out there while they’re locked up at home.”

AND, we’ve extended the entry deadline to Sunday September 26th.

Can’t argue with that, right?

Tune into the @thejournalmag this coming Monday July 26th @ 7PM for all the details you need to know.
