Back for a second consecutive year, the eponymous scholarship honours Gino Fossano’s incredible legacy, fostering a new generation of hairdressing talent from across Australia.

2019 saw three lucky apprentices win a years worth of mentoring with Dario Controneo… with 2020 offering new scope for growth, learning and more than one memorable moment.

The successful applicants will receive entry into the DCI Elevate Program 2020: an annual program of 10 x 3 hour workshops taught on a monthly basis by award winning educator, Dario Cotroneo.

Students will gain confidence learning classic, minimal and timeless haircuts, all of which are supported with a year’s subscription to DCI’s online platform; an invaluable opportunity for year-long mentorship.

Boasting a combined alumnus of over 2200 hair professionals yearly, DCI’s decision to facilitate the Scholarship in 2019 marked yet another investment into the future of hairdressing.

The Gino Fossano Scholarship will be awarded to a talented apprentice (1st to 3rd year) who holds the same qualities as the scholarship’s namesake figure; vivacity, a caring nature and an inspired work ethic.
