Over 600 industry members from across Australia gathered on Monday night for the 2021 Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFA), at Sydney’s Luna Park to celebrate this years’ best in business, innovation and creativity in style.
For the second year in a row, the AHFAs partnered with Dyson for the second year running and wowed the crowd gathered with jaw dropping runway show featuring clothing from Steven Khalil and Marriam Seddiq, and looks created using Dyson via Styling Ambassador, Renya Xydis and the 2020 – 2021 FAME Team, led by Lauren McCowan.
A performance from Australian icon Ricki-Lee got attendees up and dancing, and a sponsored Arrival and Afterparty courtesy of THRYVE and K18 respectively ensured that celebrations started early and continued on well into the night.
The pinnacle of the evening, of course, was the eagerly anticipated announcement of this year’s AHFA Hairdresser of the Year… And we’re thrilled to congratulate Hermiz of Joey Scandizzo Salon in Melbourne for taking out the title in 2021!
