ABSOLUTE THEATRE

Renowned for providing expert education and its state-of-the-art training facilities, Melbourne’s Headmasters Academy recently hosted its Annual Awards Night in the luxe surrounds of one of the city’s premiere after-dark destinations – The Longroom. Proudly supported by Redken, the evening was dedicated to celebrating the achievements of the students with a live runway show, photographic display and award announcements. Keely Alister from Uva Salon (Prahran, VIC) won the ‘Face Of Headmasters’ competition and Rebecca Coppins from Wieslemann (Toorak, VIC) was awarded ‘Apprentice Of The Year’. Portia Crook from Anaka (Malvern, VIC) and Mathias Alexander from Rokk Ebony (Toorak, VIC) each secured ‘On The Job Apprentice Of The Year’ awards.

Industry representatives, partner salons, students, families and friends were entertained with a highlight performance – ‘Through the Ages Collection’ produced by the Headmasters Creative Team. Showcasing a creative collaboration with Melbourne School of Fashion, the opulent performance was the winner of the HBIA’s College Challenge 2014 and featured a theatrical display of hair design, makeup artistry and costume.
