Tipped one of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week’s shows to watch, the Mariam Seddiq presentation failed to disappoint with a bolt of colour, return of neoprene and one courageous bridal gown.

Davroe stepped up as hair partner in collaboration with Hair Director Madison Voloshin – together bringing a look with just the right balance of edge and elegance. The exaggerated four-strand round plait was nipped at the tipping point of editorial and reality TV, ensuring sleek sophistication with a pinch of salt in windswept pieces travelling across the face.

“With such a bold collection and intricate styling details, the original brief was to simply ‘remove’ the hair,” starts Madison.

“For me, it’s important that the hair says something without taking away from the real objective (of profiling the garments), so rather than simply slicking the hair back, we evolved into an exaggerated plait anchored on a strong middle-part.”
