The countdown is on for the industry’s night of nights – and this year’s offering looks set to be bigger and better than ever. The most dynamic event on the hairdressing calendar, the Australian Hair Fashion Awards continue to celebrate the very best in hair, fashion and beauty talent; nationwide.

In 2019, the annual AHFA Gala Night will take place on Sunday 14th April, at Sydney’s iconic Luna Park Big Top. Proudly partnered by industry leaders Dyson Supersonic, the highly anticipated event will showcase the crème de la crème of Aussie Hair Fashion, as attendees let down their up-dos for one night of unmissable revelry.

Monday saw this year’s AHFA judging kick off in London, and with hundreds of entries across multiple photographic categories, our esteemed troupe of judges were faced with some tough decisions. Delegates gathered amidst Anthony Mascolo’s London Library Space, to examine the exceptional array of entries for 2019.

Judges for 2019 included Akin Konizi, Amanda Nottage (Creative Head), Andrew Barton, Angelo Seminara, Cos Sakkas, Darren Ambrose, Effi Davies, Errol Douglas, Gary Hooker and Michael Young, Indira Schauwecker, Jamie Brooks, Jamie Stevens, Jayne Lewis Orr (HJI), Jo O’Neill, Karine Jackson, Luke Benson, Michael Rackett (Rush), Nick Irwin, Rob Eaton, Sam McKnight and Zoe Irwin.
