Day Two
Day of Preparation, Chicago
After arriving in Chicago and getting minimal sleep, Melvin, Vic and I began ‘Day Two’ of our ABS journey with model preparation. An early start for everyone, we met our amazing support team and three of our equally amazing models at 9:00am.
This may sound like an easy day, however with some complex colors to create, and acting as a mentor whilst working, we had to use our time wisely. The three of us began with the lightening and decolorization processes, followed by some awesome creative colour features. We had a deadline – finishing all looks by 3:00pm in time for technical rehearsals.
Melvin, Vic and I travelled to the Convention Centre – where we met our choreographer and had a team meeting. After having a meeting with the production crew, it was time to do a full technical for the main stage runway show. We finished our day at 8:00pm before debriefing over dinner, followed by good night sleep.
