TONI&GUY launch Corporate Connections Event

At the end of June Dennis Langford CEO for TONI&GUY Australia hosted a large corporate connections event attended by close to 100 delegates at their local HQ in Paddington. The event entitled TONI&GUY Loves Fashion marked the superbrand’s 12 month partnership with the prestigious Australian Fashion Chamber, an organization established to strengthen, promote and develop Australian fashion design by nurturing talent, originality and success locally and internationally. In turn, an opportunity was presented to provide local businesswomen and men with an insight into the role TONI&GUY play in the local and global fashion landscape and how this translates for salon clientele.

Chair of the AFC and Editor-In-Chief of VOGUE Australia McCann opened the night with a strong message about the importance of hair as an interdependent fabric when looking to create a fashionable image and directly thanked TONI&GUY and affiliate product partner label.m for their support of the AFC.

Three re-collective presentations followed with Katy Reeve, National Creative Director for TONI&GUY Australia kicking off with a model presentation from the AFC Designers Abroad showcase from Paris last October. Nicole Kae from TONI&GUY Newtown followed with an insight into the highly anticipated return of Sass and Bide to LFW, whilst Nathan Cherrington from TONI&GUY Parramatta relayed an animated story of his work for the International Woolmark Prize in Shang Hai earlier this year.

“It is really important to create opportunities for the general public to see how the role of a hairdresser plays out in the fashion world. For us it is always exciting, seeing the world and directing shows with amazing designers and watching the front row fill with celebrities and the fashion elite, but our aim tonight was to open the dialogue about hair fashion with our most important public – our clients” Says Katy Reeve

Dennis Langford closed the event by reminding the audience of the importance of investing in professional haircut and or colour as well as a wardrobe to match.

“The greatest compliment that we can receive as a hairdresser is the one that is paid to our client. Whilst you may invest readily into an interchangeable designer wardrobe, how much do you invest into your hair? We wear the same hair look every day – it is without question that most powerful fashion statement that any woman, or man can make.” Says Dennis Langford.

The event was sponsored by TONI&GUY affiliates label.m, The Iconic, Wine Market and Pier One Hotel. (@toniandguyau @WELLAPRO_ANZ #mytoniandguy)
