DONT MISS: 2024’s HOTTEST TIKTOK TRENDS

It’s not exactly news that, in terms of hair inspo, clients flock to social media for cut/colour references to show their stylist in salon. Wolf cuts, shullets and cherry cola red all have TikTok to thank for their surges in popularity amongst clients, and it seems as though every day there’s a new viral trend sweeping the platform.

Wondering what’s in store for the coming year? Here, we quiz Que Colour’s social media queen (and the one responsible for their hugely popular TikTok presence) Billie Jean Reed on her TikTok trend predictions for 2024.

NO BLEACH BRUNETTE

“Ditch the bleach and come to the healthy side of life,” says Billie of the move to the dark side. “Choosing to foil with a tint formula rather than a bleach leaves the hair with an incredibly luminous, warm and healthy result.”

LATTE HAIR

For a beautifully healthy looking and lowkey glam look, Billie suggests the beautiful understated latte hair. “ Even if you’re not a coffee drinker you’ll go made for the latte toned colours,” she explains. “Whether it’s latte blonde, bronde, or brunette – these tones are universally flattering. Think warm, biscuity, milky tones running through your colour giving it a super expensive and sexy feel.

Celeb reference point? Taylor Swift at the Golden Globes.

FRENCH HAIR PAINTING

“Gone are the days of teasing. Keep your hair healthier with a classic French painting technique,” Billie says of this technique. “The most alluring thing about this colour is the dimension and natural warmth it leaves at the roots for a classic French girl aesthetic vibe.”

Celeb reference point? Jennifer Lawrence or Suki Waterhouse.

GLASS HAIR

Shine on with this high-wattage and ultra-healthy finish popular on runways around the globe. Says Billie, “The main thing hair that is so healthy and layered with regular treatments that it shines and reflects like chocolatey glass. It can range from copper to brunette to golden blondes.”

Her top tip for nailing this trend? “Ensure your client is booking in salon every 5-6 weeks to maintain.”

GLOBAL HAIR COLOUR

“This makes the hair seem longer, stronger and thicker as the placement of the colour is global and even, sealing down the cuticle which lengthens and boosts the appearance of your mane.”
