LANDED: THE JOURNAL DEC DIGITAL COVER

One of the world’s most lauded industry competitions, the L’Oréal Professionnel Style and Colour Trophy continued in 2023, igniting inspiration in artists of all levels and disciplines with this years’ META-MORPHOSIS theme.

The level of competition ran at an all-time high with Rebecca Brent taking out first place, followed by Alicia Peruzza (Circles of Hair, Perth) in close second with her punk-esque riff on the future of hair design.

“It’s so rewarding to be recognised by the people I look up to and has really pushed me as human and artist. To any younger stylists feeling a little nervous about entering in 2024 … don’t be! There is only room to learn, grow and ideally, succeed!” said Alicia.

Her prize? The ultimate editorial experience alongside team M DIVISION. An interpretation of the META-MORPHOSIS theme, Alicia was briefed to showcase the potential of hair design with three 90s-esque minimalist beauty looks transformed into colour-loaded extremes.
