Salon Lane, the leading provider of shared workspaces for hair, beauty, and wellness professionals, has officially celebrated the grand opening of its first ever Brisbane location in the vibrant West End district. Following the success of its shared workspaces in Surry Hills and the Lower North Shore, Salon Lane West End offers independent entrepreneurs in the industry a luxurious and creative environment to establish or expand their businesses and enhance client services.

The 850 square metre site is purpose-built to accommodate over 50 hair and beauty professionals, featuring a range of amenities such as a concierge, high-end retail shop, private studios, open workstations, a nail lounge, a color bar, a client lounge, a coffee bar, a member lounge, a laundry facility, and world-class training and event spaces.

Housed in a beautifully restored heritage building that once served as the iconic Peters Ice Cream Factory from 1928 to 1996, Salon Lane West End exudes a luxurious sanctuary vibe. Exposed brick walls, polished concrete and timber laminate floors, steel beams, warm wooden accents as well as oversized windows and skylights provide a polished yet industrial feel and the space is flooded with natural light, creating an inviting and inspiring atmosphere for professionals and their clients.

Salon Lane has revolutionized the co-working concept, which has gained popularity in the technology and startup sectors, and applied it to the hair and beauty industries. By offering hairdressers and beauty therapists the freedom and flexibility to be their own bosses, Salon Lane empowers salon professionals to thrive in their careers. With the opening of the West End location, this innovative way of working is now available to Brisbane-based salon professionals like Alandra Flatley, a hairstylist and balayage specialist who said, “I joined Salon Lane because I was ready to make the change to working for myself. The process of joining has been incredibly easy, super supportive, and the new West Village location is stunning.”

Another entrepreneur, Alex Bowyer, recently joined Salon Lane to launch his new business, Varsana, a luxury head spa experience with a focus on hair and scalp wellness. Bowyer shared his experience, stating, “I needed a location without any long-term commitments such as a commercial lease. The Salon Lane team made it easy to customize my studio to meet my needs and also took the time to get to know me personally, understand my business, my goals for the future, and actively support me to achieve them.”

Jared Keen, Co-Founder and CEO of Salon Lane, expressed excitement about the launch of the West End site and the growing demand for independent business ownership in the beauty industry. Keen said, “The demand for a space like Salon Lane was overwhelming in Sydney, and we are already seeing the same trend towards independent business ownership spread to the sunshine state. There are incredible possibilities for salon professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit to expand their businesses here.”

Salon Lane has ambitious plans for a national expansion in the coming years, aiming to empower hair and beauty entrepreneurs across the country to become successful business owners. Keen added, “We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved in our first two and a half years of operation and the collaborative communities that have formed. We have more exciting locations in the works and look forward to making new announcements in the near future.”
