One of the hair sphere’s most beloved figures, Kobi Bokshish has been named Global Hairdresser of the Year for the 2019 TCT International Awards of Hairdressers & Makeup Artists.

Kobi will be officially crowned at this year’s awards ceremony, scheduled for November 3, 2019.

The event will take place amidst Spain’s Canary Islands, and will see hairdressers from across the globe gather to share in their collective creativity.

As part of his win, Kobi will partake in an editorial photoshoot for Spanish trade title, Showroom. He will also showcase his vision and skill in a bespoke hair show at this year’s LIVE018 offering.

A closed category, each finalist for the Global Hairdresser of the Year award was first selected by exclusive invitation. Finalists included 2017 British Hairdresser of the Year Sally Brooks and American Hairdresser of the Year Shay Dempsey.

The TCT Awards take into careful consideration an artist’s achievements over the course of the year, with an esteemed panel of international judges scoring the winner winner for creativity and technical merit.
