Internationally acclaimed editorial stylist Kevin Murphy will once again direct the hair for Myer’s Autumn Winter 16 Fashion Launch, with Session.Master James Nicholson at the helm accompanied by a team of Session.Stylists.

In a change of direction, this season’s range will be launched with an exclusive sit-down dinner at Barangaroo in Sydney for 100 fashion industry insiders on Thursday 11 February to showcase the latest looks in fashion, hair and make-up.

The hair look is inspired by American actress and fashion designer Chloe Sevigny and her signature wet look with a dry ponytail pulled back at the nape. KEVIN.MURPHY has collaborated with Headlines Australia and their hair extensions, Wefts On The Run, to deliver ponytails that are uniform in thickness and length and to play with the hair colour trend of contrasting hair colours.

“Headpieces, headwear and jewellery embellishments have been incorporated into the launch so the hair needs to be chic and simple to ensure balance. It’s important that the hair doesn’t look too complicated or intrusive on the fashion,” said Murphy.
