The latest soiree for creative expats and locals alike happened on Saturday – a celebration and closer look at Spanish Illustrator and Artist, Jose Mendez’s ‘whim of inspiration.’
It was while exploring Bali Jose was inspired to create the series definitive of the far removed Island and with his trademark youth, colour and caricature bravado. An epic collective that, should you be in the neighbourhood, will be on display at THE SLOW until March 15th.
Studying graphic design in Paris and completing a Master in Animation at the University of London, Mendez has travelled the world developing projects in the world’s largest cities and in collaboration with the likes of The BBC, Facebook, GQ, Grazia, Spotify and The New York Times.
