IMG has announced the 2018 Australian Fashion Laureate finalists.
Established in 2008 by IMG and the NSW Government, the Fashion Laureate honours individuals who have contributed to significant growth, development and global promotion of the Australian fashion industry.
Casting an international spotlight on exceptional talent within the Australian fashion industry for over a decade, the 2018 awards will dual as a ceremony slash 10 year celebration as hosted by international supermodel Georgia Fowler and comedian Ash Williams.
Awards categories include Lifetime Achievement, Womenswear, Menswear, Retail, Emerging Designer, Accessories and for the first time, Model of the Year and Outstanding Editorial. All finalists are nominated and judged by a leading voting panel of more than 30 industry leaders spanning media buyers to designers and communications professionals.
“Through the introduction of new categories for 2018 we acknowledge Australia’s growing leadership in high fashion modeling and creative editorial,” states Ivan Bart, President of IMG Models and IMG Fashion Properties.
“As the industry’s highest accolade, we’re delighted to broaden the spectrum of recognition and further celebrate the brilliant talent originating from Australia.”
