Hair tool heroes ghd have once again joined forces with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for their TAKE CONTROL NOW campaign, with a mission of raising invaluable funds to support the fight against cancer whilst simultaneously empowering young women across the globe to start regularly checking their breasts.

With 1,000 young Australian women each year diagnosed with breast cancer, ghd are encouraging women to self check every single month month. Lockdown saw approximately 98% of breast cancer screening appointments cancelled or delayed, making self-check awareness more critical than ever – and the TAKE CONTROL MESSAGING emblazoned on each limited edition styling tool within the campaign could prove to be the monthly reminder than Australian women need to keep checking their breasts.

“The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) thanks ghd for their ongoing support of our mission of Zero Deaths from breast cancer,” says NBCF CEO and Associate Professor Cleola. “ghd’s fundraising efforts through their ‘pink’ campaign have raised $4.5million dollars for breast cancer research in Australia.”

“We are very proud of our long-term partnership with ghd and look forward to their ongoing support.”

Consisting of the ghd helios professional hairdryer, award-winning ghd platinum+ styler, ghd gold styler and limited limited edition glide hot brush, $20 from the sale of each tool sold through campaign will be pledged to one of the breast cancer charities supported by ghd. The 2022 vibrant orchid ghd limited edition pink collection has been designed to include a self-check reminder, meaning every time you style your hair you get the reminder you may need to take control now.
