What hairdresser hasn’t dreamed of shaving a client or model’s hair clean off? There’s something about the buzz cut that gets us transfixed, hairdresser or not, and right now fashion is playing massive groupie to the trend.

She’s the apple of every leading photographer’s eye and is getting real comfortable among the pages of i-D, LOVE and any other title hot enough to handle this contagious gap tooth smile. Breaking the beauty mold one runway at a time, Slick’s got serious attitude and we can’t help but think that mad buzz cut has a little something to do with it.

Model, activist and founder of women’s forum GURLS TALK (@gurlstalk), Adwoa is right up there with Slick, together challenging old-school while fronting up to fashion with their own rules and beauty regulations.

Arguably propelled onto the scene by our friend and collaborator Mr Frank Apostolopoulos, this Melbourne mega babe has run a smattering of punk-loving styles over the years and worked the lens for heroes Andrew O’Toole and Georges Antoni, but it’s the brilliance of the buzz we’re loving the most.
