FAME TEAM 2021: THE PEOPLE AND PLACES

Your first stop? Tasmania for a culture rich experience including locations such as the Mona, creating on-location content and an editorial shoot.

ANNOUNCED: The 2021 FAME Team Itinerary.

The industry’s premier discovery program and the launchpad of industry greats including Joey Scandizzo, Errol Douglas and Richard Mannah, FAME Team only grows in status and relevance each year – quality education and a sense of connection now more important than ever.

With our 2019 – 2020 FAME’ers revelling in the limelight a little longer than usual (thanks COVID), it was with great pleasure and a huge sigh of relief, that we were able to announce our team for 2020 – 2021 at the recent Australian Hair Fashion Awards, and before the usual crowd of industry elite.

Firstly, a huge thank you to our valued FAME Team sponsors who, without their passion for the next generation, none of this would be possible. So, a virtual round of applause to Dyson, JOICO, evo and Seamless1, the future of Australian hairdressing could not be more grateful.

And to our new FAME Team! A massive congratulations to each and every one of you, for backing yourselves and putting in the time, energy and effort to enter. It takes guts to lay yourself and your skill set bare for appraisal, and well, it sure paid off! Well done, Rebecca Snow, Joshua Congreve, Eunji Kim and Elyse Sprott, you’re destined for 12 months of invaluable mentorship, education, industry insights and events, ultimately propelling your profiles and arsenal of knowledge (and products!) forward, towards success.

“I’m so excited to be working with this year’s FAME Team. Not only did they work incredibly hard to get where they are, they each fully embody everything the FAME team stands for. They are dynamic, hardworking, unique individuals who all lead with heart and are setting a perfect example for the future of Australian hairdressing,” says FAME Team Creative Director and overall legend, Jack Morton.

Your first stop? Tasmania for a culture rich experience including locations such as the Mona, creating on-location content and an editorial shoot. Here, the focus will be individual branding and artistry, ranging from presentation to technical skills, advanced product knowledge and application. The outcome? Holistic, multi-faceted growth as an artist.

From south to north, pack your swimmers and get set for some sun as we travel to the Whitsundays for a retreat-style experience including multiple sessions across mindfulness, self-representation, personal and business development, presentation skills and more. Mentors will present live and via Zoom, and in aid of preparation for the FAME Team’s June long weekend showcase.

Of course, the usual dinners, soirees and all-round good times will pepper time in-between the main events for a FAME experience unlike any other so far.

Buckle up.
