Lizotte’s drive comes from his interest to understand the influences that subcultures on the fringes of society have on popular culture and fashion. His work is punctuated with truth and the utmost respect for the faces, places and souls that he captures.
In their latest collaboration with Sydney’s China Heights gallery, The Slow Canggu is flexing its curatorial muscles once again, proving it’s the authority on all things au courant.
This time the happening Bali hot spot hosts acclaimed Australian photographer Jesse Lizotte.
Hailing from Sydney but raised in New York, this global nomad has fast made a name for himself for his thought-provoking imagery. His still and motion work has graced the covers of GQ, Oyster and 10 Men as well as the pages of I-D, IMPRINT and Clot.

The exhibition commences on the 11th of August in The Slow’s gallery space of room 13, showcasing 10 rebellious black and white images.
