AUSTRALIAN HAIR FASHION AWARDS ANNOUNCES WINNERS FOR 2014

2014-AHMAs02a2958

The Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFA’s) firmly cemented their position as Australia’s largest and most successful independent hairdressing awards program last night with the 22nd gala ceremony held in Sydney at the Ivy Ballroom. The AHFA’s are the ultimate celebration of the synergy between hair, fashion and culture and this year’s winner list features a roll call of the who’s who of the hair, beauty and fashion industry in Australia.

Guests were entertained by MC’s for the night, globally recognised editorial stylist Richard Kavanagh and talented actress Erika Heynatz, as well as a very special musical performance by X-Factor winner Dami Im. The talented songstress performed several songs including Roar, her single Alive and a beautiful rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Under the exciting cutting edge vision of Creative Director David Mannah, following his re-launch of hair fashion publication and awards affiliate The Journal, David was proud to see the AHFA’s come to life;

“It’s a thrill to see the most inspiring people within our industry all in the one room, and awarded for their exceptional skill. The night was a sell-out, demonstrating the importance of events such as this one to continue to inspire our Australian creatives to strive for excellence on a global standard”.

The illustrious photographic categories for 2014 were judged by UK hairdressing royalty including Errol Douglas, Anthony Mascolo, Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, Akin Konizi, Sean Dawson and Beverly Cobella. The product award categories were judged by media representatives from titles including ELLE, Vogue, CLEO, Shop Til You Drop, Primped, Popsugar Beauty, RESCU, Hair Romance and Cosmopolitan. The business awards were judged by industry luminaries including Pat Mesiti, Luke Battah, Justin Herald, Terry Hawkins, Wendy Daoud and Sali Stevanja.

With thanks to sponsors Goldwell, Cloud Nine and label.m, the AHFA’s are proud to reveal the winners for 2014;
