Lyndal Salmon (BIBA) has last night been announced as Australian Hairdresser of the Year at the sparkling, sold-out 2023 Australian Hair Fashion Awards Gala Event.
Taking over The Star in Sydney for a night of celebration unmatched by any other, the 2023 AHFA Gala served as the glittering crown jewel of a year filled with major moments within the hairdressing industry. Industry legends from both near and far gathered to celebrate the very best in business, creativity and product innovation, as well as soak in the veritable buzz emanating from The Star’s Ballroom as outstanding work was honored and accolades awarded.
With Dyson acting as Presenting Partner for it’s fifth year running and welcoming Revlon Professional as Official Colour Partner, and brand new awards Global Hairdresser of the Year and New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year expanding the accolades to an international level, the sold-out 2023 Australian Hair Fashion Awards was an unmissable evening. International guests gathered included Errol Douglas, Jordan Robertson, James Earnshaw, Richy Kandasamy, Sergi Bancells, Mikel Luzea, Renee Valerie, Richard Mannah and Karine Jackson.
The eagerly anticipated Dyson Runway Show – a Utopian-themed spectacular featuring work from Dyson Styling Ambassadors Renya Xydis, Michael Beel and Damien Rinaldo – in collaboration with stylist Monica Morales, wowed attendees with interpretations of Deities and the Underworld, pushing boundaries and testing the perimeters of what is possible in the world of hair art.
DJ Tigerlily was on hand to amp up the crowd, performers Club Sol ensured guests were kept dancing as the night wore on and, in true hairdressing style, the night could not be complete without an Afterparty to keep the good times rolling and feel of celebration in the air well into the early hours.
