Comfortel announces their lucky survey competition winner – and it couldn’t be more needed – after a bus ploughs through their salon a month after receiving their prize.

Congratulations to the winner of Comfortel’s Survey Competition; Michelle Turner, the owner of Ablaze Hair Artistry – a salon providing a full range of hair and beauty services in Knoxfield, Victoria.

In December, Comfortel asked over 20,000 Hair and Beauty Salons, Clinics and Spas across Australia and New Zealand to complete a 5 minute survey, giving them a chance to win a major prize of $1000 to spend in any Comfortel showroom.

The winner was drawn randomly via a third party partner, and the prize couldn’t have come at a better time for Michelle and the team at Ablaze Hair Artistry.

In early March, just over a month after being notified of winning the prize, a runaway bus ploughed through her busy salon.

The bus was parked for the evening at a Knoxfield bus stop on the Thursday when it suddenly rolled forward picking up speed until it crashed through the back wall of the salon. Staff and clients were luckily unharmed. Salon owner Melinda Turner says even though her salon was full of customers, miraculously no-one was hurt!

The team at Comfortel are glad that everyone is ok and congratulate Melinda and her team on what turned out to be a well-needed prize.
