On Sunday 17th August, the Goldwell brand team welcomed all the Australian and New Zealand finalists and their guests to the Color Zoom 2014 National Award Ceremony. Held at the iconic Slide Bar in Sydney, the night was to celebrate and recognise the fantastic work that supported this program. 38 finalists and their guests were flown to Sydney to attend the ceremony where their work was on proud display for everyone to see. Stylists showcased their interpretation of the latest Goldwell fashion collection “Reallusion” by creating a deliberate visual confusion of the real and the illusion. The trend features a strong mix of textures and shapes.
Winners of each of the three categories were chosen by an international independent group of judges from the hair, beauty and media industries and they will now go to Berlin, Germany to compete against the winners from over 30 other countries. The Global Event in Berlin consists of a live competition where the participants have to recreate their image live on the competition floor within a 3-hour time limit. They will also be the first to view the 2015 Color Zoom collection and attend the Look & Learn Seminar hosted by the trend creators themselves. The Australian and New Zealand teams will be competing to be crowned the Global Winners and form part of the Color Zoom creative team who will be the creative directors for the 2016 Color Zoom collection.
