20 Years of Wild Life Hair

Last Monday 12th August, Jayne Wild and husband Gary Latham together with business partners Philip Cordony and Ali Holmes were joined by 25 special guests to celebrate 20 years of Wild Life Hair.

Free from ostentation, yet elegantly decedent, the beautiful luncheon was held at Wild Life Origin, the home to Wild Life Education, set against a backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park.

Wild Life Hairdressing opened its doors at 12a Ennis Road Milsons Point on August 4th 1993. The space was modest, and the operation was lean with just a salon owner and junior apprentice running a ‘No appointment necessary’ trading arrangement.

20 years later Wild Life Hair is a multifaceted hair fashion and beauty brand. The secret to their success? Heartfelt education and a genuine family environment.

“Wild Life is our home. It’s our teams’ home and our clients’ home too. And when people come to our workshops and seminars I want them to feel confident to learn because they feel comfortable and relaxed in their environment.” Explains Jayne.

With Ali Holmes and the team at sister salon Wild Life SoGo also celebrating their sixth birthday a week later, this multi-award winning salon attribute both commercial and creative success to ‘service magic’.

Say’s Jayne

“One day I overheard a lady in the salon say to her friend on the phone ‘I am just in having a Wild Life experience.’ It gave me goose bumps, because that was my dream. Not just to cut and colour hair, but to be able to welcome clients, staff and other hairdressers into a magical place, to give them a really enchanting ‘experience’.

Wild Life Mantra:
This is your home. A relaxed and enchanting space, where leading stylists shall delight you with a unique hairdressing experience.
