BEAUTY: MARC JACOBS LAUNCH ‘SHAMELESS’ FOUNDATION

The idea of Shameless and showing your true colours, is being who you are; unapologetic and proud.

Beauty mavens rejoice, a rainbow of shameless shades has made its descent.

Since launching in 2013, Marc Jacobs Beauty have become a key player in the beauty industry – and for good reason.

Boasting unwavering quality, a diverse product range and swoon-worthy ad campaigns (think Adwoa Aboah’s now iconic polkadot scarf ), Marc Jacobs’ eponymous beauty line continues to up it’s product portfolio, one chicly bottled item at a time.

The newest addition to the brand’s lineup? Shameless: a medium coverage, self setting foundation with a buildable consistency, 24-hour wear and flashback-free SPF 25.

Fruit of Marc Jacobs’ penchant for drag, ‘Shameless’ chest tattoo, and gregarious disposition.. the titular range champions a shameless attitude, encouraging wearers to embrace individuality and showcase their true colours.

“The idea of Shameless and showing your true colors is being who you are, unapologetic and proud” explains Marc Jacobs.

“One of the most important characteristics, in terms of a contemporary, youthful look, is not that heavy sort of makeup, but something that’s fresh, and allows radiance and the texture of the skin to come through.”

Just like the beauty brand’s namesake muse, Shameless is bold, unapologetic and (of course) proud.

Infused with such skin heroes as snow mushroom (nature’s answer to hyaluronic acid) and blue daisy extract (a natural protection against pollutants), this weightless, oil free wonder-blend offers both sun and skin protection, ensuring skin is kept hydrated, plumped and youthful.

Shameless‘ 29-strong shade range was developed alongside artists and models worldwide, so as to fit all skin tones, seamlessly. It’s buildable consistency ensures the perfect level of coverage every application, while its self setting finish and lightweight plastic bottle allow for optimum usability.

To celebrate the range’s national launch, the team at Max Media Lab hosted a crew of influencers, a-listers, and members of the beauty media at Bondi’s Public Bar, for an evening of cocktails, shade-matching and (you guessed it)… drag performances.

Emceed by Marc Jacobs Beauty Ambassador and drag lover, Lucy Garland, highlights included a Q&A session with Celebrity Makeup Artist and Global Artistry Ambassador for Marc Jacobs Beauty, Michael Ashton and bespoke colour matching sessions for all in attendance.
