WELLA TREND VISION: YOUR 2020 ANZ GOLD WINNERS

Tuesday December 1st saw Wella TrendVision ANZ’s Gold Winners announced across the awards’ first online event.

It’s one of the industry’s most coveted awards platforms, globally, meaning a pandemic was never going to get in the way of Wella’s annual Trend Vision event, and importantly, the brand’s dedication to recognising and rewarding its talented network of hairdressers.

“TrendVision is and always will be, a celebration of craft and creativity. 2020 has been a year like no other, yet despite the challenges, we at Wella are continuously inspired by the level of passion, commitment and resilience from our wonderful hairdressing community. TrendVision is an integral part of Wella’s commitment to celebrate and elevate hairdressing talent, so we were thrilled to be able to adapt and move our awards online this year,” commented Wella’s Education Leader ANZ, Ludmila Hilnovsky.

Moving online for the first time, three winners were selected from a line-up of 18 talented finalists following hundreds of entries across both countries. This years’ categories were comprised of Color Specialist (balayage focus), Craft Artist (cut and styling transformation) and Color Artist (trending yet model suited colour creations), and were judged by Wella ANZ Creative Directors, Renya Xydis, Frank Apostolopoulos, Uros Mikic, Marie Uva, Richi Grisillo, Jack Morton and Brad Lepper. Joining them was our own David Mannah, Jayne Wild, Dennis Langford and from Wella global: Stephen Moody, Jayson Gray and Josh Anderson.

“More than a competition, TrendVision is a platform that unleashes the creativity and passion of the best colourists and stylists across the world. Reaching such a high level this year demonstrates once more the leading role that Australia and New Zealand plays in this industry. I would like to congratulate the winners and thank everyone who entered, as well as the judges,” said General Manager of Wella ANZ, Max Amen.

And the winners! Announced as part of the new World of Wella event (transporting viewers into a world of colour and craft in a celebration of creativity and hair fashion), the 2020 National Wella Trend Vision Gold Winners are …
