Daniella Barca and Chung-Yang Su of Rokk Ebony Salon have been named as Australia’s Young Talent and Colour Vision gold award winners respectively, for the Wella Professionals National TrendVision Awards, announced in Auckland, New Zealand on September 13th, 2015.
From New Zealand, Mikaeala Edwards of Runway and Kylie Hayes of Moha Hairdressing have been named as Young Talent and Colour Vision Gold award winners, respectively.
The Wella Professionals International TrendVision Awards focus on two key areas of hair artistry; the Colour Vision category, which recognises exceptional colouring technique, and Young Talent, which supports emerging hairdressers with a focus on cut and style expertise.
The judges narrowed the pool of 40 finalists from across Australia and New Zealand down to bronze, silver and gold winners from each country under the Colour Vision and Young Talent categories. The gold winners will go on to compete against their global peers in the International Final in Berlin on November 22nd, 2015.
Australia and New Zealand boast the highest number of winners at the Wella Professionals International Trend Vision Awards in history versus any other country, proving their top talent on a global scale.
The International Final will be hosted over three days and comprise of a media event and local tours with the main event to host the International TrendVision Award competition and reveal the upcoming year’s trends.
Wella Professionals Global Creative Director for Care and Styling, Eugene Souleiman and Global Creative Director for Colour, Josh Wood, will also lead interactive education seminars with Wella’s top artists for the finalists.
