The Australian hairdressing industry has recently suffered a huge loss with the passing of Anthony (Nini) Martino, beloved salon and business owner and partner to Caterina Di Biase for over 30 years.

Leaving behind him a sparkling career filled with many business achievements including the Global Salon Business Awards ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award, Heading Out Hair & Beauty (as well as his staff) winning many L’Oreal Colour Trophy awards, the Next Look Award and many Hair Expo Awards.

Anthony was also pivotal in fostering Caterina’s creative talents, which has led her to be awarded Australian Hairdresser of the Year four times as well as receiving many more awards. Together, this powerhouse duo started their own RTO (Heading Out Academy) and had several Melbourne CBD Heading Out Hair & Beauty hairdressing franchises.

An incredible talent and hugely respected name within the industry at large, who’s absence will certainly be felt far and wide across this tight knit community.
