Style makers and celebs come out to play in this glamorous pastiche of frocks, frills and fancy, which heralds the start of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition. The inaugural fundraising benefit for NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts an elite assemblage of celebrities, creatives and VIPs, for one night of fun and fashion. This year, the exhibition will platform designer and founder of Japanese label Comme des Garçons, Rei Kawakubo, with a retrospective entitled “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.” From braids to bedazzled buzz cuts, this years Met Gala saw an array of avant-garde hair looks grace the red carpet.
