First time users will be given the opportunity to road test piiq’s revolutionary smart mirror and salon consultation software, inside the 2019 exhibition floor at Hair Expo Australia.
A world first in digital consultation technology, piiq made its whirlwind launch to market in November of 2019, following its initial industry preview at the 2018 Australian Hair Fashion Awards. The ground-breaking piiq mirror and embedded software have since been adopted by salons across Australasia; transforming the client experience and showcasing the Australian hair industry as true world leaders.
Developed to bridge the gap between client and stylist by enhancing the salon consultation process, piiq employs sophisticated facial recognition technology with a user-friendly interface to pair clients with their celebrity lookalikes, guiding users through a series of lifestyle, hair history and preference-oriented questions via piiq’s integrated software.
The visual hair analysis tool and on-mirror retail recommendation prompts remove the challenging aspects of selling and allow users to experience an expert-guided, online-equivalent shopping experience; all from their salon chair. Stylists using piiq have shown to increase their retail sales dramatically, with one stylist averaging a 48% client purchase rate.
From this Saturday, expo-goers will be granted an exclusive preview of piiq’s most recent software enhancements, including the new pause and resume function (enabling stylists to pause and resume, or skip through consultation steps at various intervals during service), in chair rebooking and/or booking reminder notifications and – most innovative of all – the soon to be released piiq virtual colour service that allows clients to experience a range of instant colour transformations through a live, mirror simulation.
“We’re thrilled to be revealing piiq’s most recent software additions at Hair Expo Australia this long weekend,” said four-time Australian Session Stylist of the Year and piiq Co-founder Richard Kavanagh. “With piiq’s revolutionary smart mirror technology and integrated consultation software, we’re realising something that’s never been done before – a true world first – and now, our users are helping to shape it’s function.”
“Pairing feedback from each of our piiq stylists and salon owners, we’ve made a selection of practical adjustments to the service and will continue to offer software upgrades and enhancements as both stylists’ and clients’ needs grow and evolve. Our soon to be launched piiq virtual colour service has garnered rave reviews thus far, and stylists currently using the piiq platform have said that 60% of their clients are more open to a change following their piiq consultation.”
Inside the exhibition hall’s exclusive piiq pop up, visitors to Hair Expo Australia will have the chance to experience the piiq client journey first hand, with professionals offered a one-off 20% discount on pods purchased across the long weekend.
Hair Expo Australia will take place at the International Convention Centre Sydney from June 8-10 2019. Tickets can be purchased at www.hairexpoaustralia.com.
