Calling all colourists! Redken have officially launched the 2025 Shades EQ Gloss Boss Awards, a digital competition open to ANY stylist using Shades EQ. This also marks the first time that the competition has been held in ANZ, after the huge success of the competition globally.

With three exciting categories—Blonde, Brunette, or Creative—this is the perfect opportunity for stylists to showcase their skills and creativity.

To enter, participants must create a 60-second Instagram Reel that highlights their impressive colour work and social media savvy. The video should feature a before-and-after image of the model, as well as a glimpse into the colouring process in which the entrant’s bespoke Shades EQ formula is showcased. Once the video is ready, entrants can upload their entry and post it to Instagram with the required tags.

The winner of each category will receive an unforgettable prize: a trip to New York and an exclusive education experience at the renowned Redken Exchange. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to elevate skills and gain invaluable industry insight.
