The race may be over, but we’re still swooning over the locks and frocks. Check out a few of our favourite race day looks from this year’s Melbourne Cup.
Rozalia Russian
Blogger Rozalia Russian left race goers green with envy, sporting this sheer lace emerald number by Nicola Finetti. Hair was swept into an elegant low pony, before being wrapped with an ornate, fabric bow. Rozalia complimented her bold ruby lip hue with a pair of statement pearl/topaz drop earrings.
Jennifer Hawkins
The former Miss Universe Australia ruled the racetrack, donning an ethereal black and blush combo by Alex Perry. Hair was characteristically flawless, with locks first tonged into soft waves before being pulled back and crowned with a jewel encrusted head piece.
Jodi Anasta
Topping her ’17 Derby Day look was no easy feat… but Jodi Anasta more than upped the style stakes with this stunning ensemble. Stepping out in a pink frilly Talulah number, the actress sported some serious glow, courtesy of Makeup & Hair god Max May. Hair was tightly pulled into a sleek, high-pony, before being plaited through to ends.
Jane Scandizzo
Styled by the man himself, Joey Scandizzo, the model and TV star sported this statement hair look to accompany her bold Nicola Finetti frock. “I really wanted to do something subtle, but interesting for Jane because her dress and headband were such a statement,” said Joey, “I wanted to create a small silhouette with her hair but add a feature to the back and create something unexpected.”
Pia Miller
Last but certainly not least, ghd Celebrity Ambassador and Actress Pia Miller wore her signature tresses soft and wavy, in this elegant look styled by Marie Uva. Repping a structured Dion Lee figure hugger and chic loubiton pumps, the sultry Chilean was every bit the race day glamazon.
Until next year…
