NEWS: WELLA PROFESSIONALS NAME ANZ TRENDVISION WINNERS

Announcing the four national delegates for Wella Trendvision 2020.

It’s one of the most colourful events on the hairdressing calendar. A celebration of talent emerging and established, Wella’s annual Trendvision awards continue to showcase exceptional creative vision, colour mastery and technical prowess; honouring the brand’s esteemed artist network both nationally and abroad.

Back for another round of revelries, 2020’s instalment saw guests flock to luxe event space The Venue, Alexandria in celebration of this year’s finalist lineup. Following a day of prep and networking, proceedings kicked off with a dynamic runway showcase featuring each of the finalists’ qualifying looks – live and in full colour!

Co-emceed by Wella Education and Digital Transformation Leader Tracey Hughes and Oscar Oscar Business Development Manager Lee Cohen, event highlights also included a live trend reveal, heroing a series of trend-driven hair looks by Wella’s education team and top millennium artists – led by Wella Creative Manager Ludmila Hlinovsky.

Taking out the coveted Creative Vision Gold Award for 2020 was Jude McEwen of TONI&GUY Perth Central (Aus) and Kylie Hayes of Moha Hairdressing (NZ). Winners of this year’s prestigious Color Vision Gold Award included Daniel Reynolds of BIBA Salons (Aus) and Anthony Bayer of Anthony Bayer Hair (NZ).

This year’s gold delegates will go on to showcase their looks on the international stage as part of Wella’s International Trendvision award finals scheduled for this March in Spain. Congratulations to each of the talented Gold finalists for 2020 (check them out below) and a further congratulations to this year’s Silver and Bronze award winners:

  • Creative Vision Silver: Amy Gaudie of Urban Chic Salon (Australia) and Devo Peng of Studio C (New Zealand)
  • Color Vision Silver: Caroline Daoud of UVA Salon (Australia) and Adeesak ‘Sky’ Srisukpolluck of The Black Studio (New Zealand)
  • Creative Vision Bronze: Nicole Jeffery of Horse Meat Disco Salon (Australia) and Peter Tong of PerfeKt Hair Studio (New Zealand)
  • Colour Vision Bronze: Elena Nardone of Rokk Ebony (Australia) and Shay Kapur of Rodney Wayne (New Zealand)
