NEWS: L’Oréal Australia opens its doors to a new state-of-the-art Academy in Melbourne.

Industry leaders, L’Oréal Professional Products Division have dialled up the digital focus with a multi-disciplinary academy designed to connect and grow hairdressers around the world.

As we continue to explore new methods and possibilities of digital connection – both as humans and hairdressers – we place greater demand on industry heavyweights to step up virtually; seeking interesting and innovative ways to learn, network and grow.

One company who has been at the forefront from the very beginning is L’Oréal Professional Products Division (PPD). Infamously excelling in the space, the beauty icons are officially leading the digital charge among Australian competitors with the unveiling of a brand new, virtually integrated Melbourne-based training academy.

The expansive and aesthetically stunning training site services the Division’s portfolio of leading salon brands: L’Oréal Professionnel, Kérastase, Redken, Matrix, Biolage and Pureology. An elegant, multi-disciplinary space featuring 5 Microsoft Teams enabled training rooms, a digital studio for content creation and live online webinar education, an extensive branded colour lab, animated basin room and spacious entertainment lounge.

So, what does this mean for PPD hairdressers? In summary, a lot. It’s a wide world of potential with an open invitation to plug-in, explore and elevate. Events include hands-on training sessions for emerging hair artists, streaming digital courses through ACCESS (PPD’s online learning platform for hair stylists), creating digital content and hosting events. Established artists, educators and our next gen all wired into one space with the capacity to roam free, let creativity fly, learn, thrive, and nurture one another’s on and offline learning path. It’s a VIP ticket to some of our greatest industry minds and holds the health and wealth of our valued professional industry close.

The space was honoured on Sunday the 20th of March where PPD clients and colleagues, key media partners and industry luminaries joined to celebrate and enjoy the beautiful space.

“This [academy] has been a long time in the making, and I am so proud of the entire L’Oréal team that has brought this together,” noted David Higgins, Managing Director of L’Oréal PPD for Australia and New Zealand.

The space will see content created and streamed on a local and global scale effectively marking the space a worldwide hub for passionate hairdressers.

The potential is endless with LPPD.
