One of the nation’s finest exports, Kevin Murphy returns as Hair Director for Melbourne Fashion Week.

A match made in fashion heaven, the globally renowned stylist will work alongside a host of prolific local designers including Alice McCall, Scanlan Theodore, Macgraw and Dion Lee.

Scheduled for August 31st – September 7th, Melbourne’s FW contribution has fast become a national staple, bringing a slew of local and international design talent to Victoria’s capital for a week of fashionable activity.

2019 marks Murphy’s 15th year as Hair Director for the anticipated event, a role that has seen the stylist curate a number of seasonal hair looks, each embodying both the spirit and aesthetic of their contained collections.

“It’s an honour to be a long term partner of such an important event on Australia’s fashion calendar and each year MFW gets better and better,” mused Kevin.

“There’s an undeniable buzz around Melbourne during MFW. The week creates a great opportunity to celebrate new season fashion and push the boundaries on hair trends – while also shining the spotlight on this incredible city.”

Kevin will once again lead a team of experienced session stylists in styling hair for both the runway and a number of adjacent MFW activities, including a series of Melbourne based pop-up shows.

The stylist will also tend to the tresses of this year’s MFW Ambassador Pia Miller, as she attends events, shows and appearances throughout the week’s course.
