NEWS: KELVIN WONG WINS AMERICAN CREW ALL STAR CHALLENGE

This year’s entries created a new standard never seen before. The quality surpassed all expectations and highlights the vision and talent of Australian hairdressers and barbers.

Over 400 guests were in attendance for last night’s American Crew All Star Challenge Event, held at The Facility, Melbourne.

The Journal’s own David Mannah was ringside to MC proceedings, with last year’s All Star Challenge Winner Ben Kane and All Stars Chris Dunkley, Mark Rabone, Gary McKenzie and Lino D’adderio on hand for insight into their Crew experience.

American Crew’s signature looks were also on display, with 25 models styled, groomed and cut live across Classic, Americana and Sport briefs. All this amongst and around an elevated boxing ring containing live sparing demonstrations. Classic Crew.

Alas, it was the finalist announcement we were all waiting for, and in 2018, the competition was fierce!

Huge congratulations goes to Kelvin Wong of Rokk Ebony Collins Place for taking out the challenge, with his ultimate interpretation of the American Crew man.
