London Collections: Men

Continuing its collaboration with the British Fashion Council, FUDGE has once again sponsored London Collections: Men, which took place June 15-17. This year, FUDGE sent over an Australian stylist in the form of Luana Coscia, to be a part of the FUDGE team in London as they continue to support emerging and established British designers. Agi & Sam, Katie Eary, Craig Green and James Long all exhibited their new season collections, and The Journal was lucky enough to receive Luana’s diary of her experience at this year’s three-day event:

Sunday

Fudge head office. I meet John Vial, Tracy Hayes, Cullum and Dennis, and we get stuck into cutting and prepping the wigs and wefts for the upcoming shows. John keeps us all very entertained with his amazing humour throughout the entire day – thank you John! After this we all head to the first show, Christopher Shannon, at the Old Sorting Office. This hair was my favourite – 90s influenced, knots and no symmetry. We worked with hair wefts to create this cool look using Fudge Sky Scraper and Membrane Gas.

The next show was Agi and Sam which was where we used the wigs. Cut into a skater bowl shape, we then wet the wigs down, wanting the fringes long and in the model’s eyes. This look was very strong and would have to be another one of my favourites.

Monday

At 2pm we head off to the the James Long show, which features loads of hair wefts to create a Jesus-style long-hair effect. The top layer is a weft and Tracy has done a bright coloured line through the hair for massive impact. For this look we used Fudge Sky Scraper and Salt Spray.

Tuesday

We spend the final day at the Craig Green show. For this show the hair is very natural and effortless which ties in well with the beautiful atmosphere created by the clothes and the music. There is a very emotional vibe in the room and we even see people crying! For this look we used Fudge Liquid Erect.

Working with everyone in the Fudge team was such a wonderful experience. Tracy and John at Fudge were both so lovely in welcoming me and making me feel a part of the team. Over all, my time in London was amazing and I absolutely loved the opportunity of working with such a talented and kind team!
