LAUNCH: GHD DEBUT GLACIAL BLUE CHRISTMAS COLLECTION

Following the release of their revolutionary platinum+ styler, hot-tool magnates ghd have revealed an all new capsule collection… just in time for Christmas.

Introducing the new Glacial Blue collection; a luxurious, limited edition capsule range heroing ghd’s most popular styling staples, namely the ghd gold styler, air hairdryer, and the brand’s most recent innovation, the platinum+ styler.

Embracing a captivating palette of frosted blue hues, these new tools not only look the part, each also welcomes healthier, shinier and smoother hair for each and every client. How’s thatfor a good hair day?

Inspired by the vibrant, fashion forward colour scheme of this year’s AW19 Jeremy Scott show (of which ghd Ambassador Eugene Souleimain curated hair direction – view the hair look here), the Glacial Blue collection is bold, bright and oh so beautiful; the perfect range for the festive season ahead.

Introducing the range to a selection of editor’s, influencers and industry insiders inside Bondi’s Icebergs Dining Room and Bar was renowned editorial stylist, Travis Balcke, who, earlier this year, worked alongside Eugene in creating the looks for the line’s motivating resort show.

‘Today I created a look to suit both [the event’s] beautiful setting and the Australian demographic,” began Travis. “It’s a beautiful hair look that shows the variety of textures you can create within the one look using the platinum+ styler”.

“What I love most about the platinum+ is that you can move and manipulate the hair while creating smoothness, shine and also volume. It doesn’t flatten your hair or heat it to the point of becoming lifeless [but rather] maintains an optimum heat temperature for volume, texture and shine”.

Commenting on the styler’s versatility, Travis remarked; “We all pick up tools for different reasons. As a hairdresser, I look for efficiency, [whereas] clients want a tool to support their hair conditioning. This is a tool that can be used for all purposes”.

“I use it in the salon, for editorial work and backstage at Fashion Week,” Travis continues. “It’s supported by technology that works out your hair thickness and style as well as how fast you’re styling. Power [usage] is calculated based on the speed at which you’re styling, while the temperature remains at an optimum 185°C”.

One of the brand’s coolest collections yet, the glacial blue range is available through stockists and selected salons across the nation.
