LA BIOSTHETIQUE at Paris Fashion Week Spring Show 2016

Oct 6th, 2015 – For the fourth year running, LA BIOSTHETIQUE was the styling partner of choice for Talbot Runhof’s show at Paris Fashion Week. The fashion label, famous for styling the likes of Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts, are a collection of elegant and glamorous dresses by designers Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof. Working backstage were four LA BIOSTHETIQUE representatives from Australia: Rachel Espley from Therapy Hair and Beauty, Todd Arndt from Vogue Nationale, Jodi Nicholson from the New Black Industries and Susan Port from Salon Renaissance. The Australian team worked alongside the LA BIOSTHETIQUE international styling team led by Creative Director, Alexander Dinter, to create stylish hair and make-up looks to compliment the new collection.

“The brief on the hair was to match the flowy simple style of the dresses. We created a low ponytail with a clean middle parting and two small sections loosely pulled out over the ears. “ says Todd Arndt of Vogue Nationale, “The make-up was also kept to a clean and fresh look, with minimal makeup or colour used. We prepped the hair with Styling Fluid and used directional blow-dry to flatten the hair from the part so there was no roundness through the top. We then smoothed the hair back into a low ponytail, leaving out the sections just above the ear for that effortless beautiful, summery look.“

Talbot Runhof’s Spring 2016 collection was the ultimate carefree summer collection. Made up of breezy silhouettes, sheer fabrics and geometric designs, the long pieces were inspired by Marella Agnelli.

“The idea was of a woman, the ‘Last Swan,’ throwing on a tunic and a pair of random slippers, before running down to the local market to buy porcini for the family table,” Runhof explained pre-show.

LA BIOSTHETIQUE is proud to offer opportunities such as this to its network of salons, the involvement in major fashion shows in Paris deepens connection and understanding of the Parisian culture of Total Beauty.
