KINGS DOMAIN: The Next Generation of Barbershops

Following the success of their first barbershop, Kings Domain on Toorak Road, South Yarra, Directors Joey Scandizzo, Joseph Semaan, John Scandizzo and Aaron Chan have joined forces with their former star barber Angela Sassano for the long-awaited launch of their second cutting edge barbershop, Kings Domain Collins Street.

The barbershop’s opening a few weeks ago saw barber’s chairs placed on busy Collins Street, where AFL stars Josh Gibson and Jimmy Bartel were snipped, styled and shaved, while media and camera crews clambered to capture the action and traffic was brought to a standstill.

“The concept behind Kings Domain is for men to experience salon quality cuts of any style in an environment where they feel 100% comfortable. A good haircut is vital, but a good experience is paramount,” said Sassano. Also integral to the barbershop’s offering is professional hair care. Kings Domain stocks a selection of quality men’s grooming products such as shampoo, shaving cream, styling products from ELEVEN Australia and American Crew.

It took some time to find the perfect site to bring the team’s vision to life. The barbershop’s interior incorporates the feel of old London barbershops combined with elements taken from the style of America’s North West hunter’s cabins. With services ranging from a beard trim to the ‘Royal Treatment’ hair cut and shave, Kings Domain is the one stop shop for men looking for a good quality haircut offered in a comfortable environment, with the highest level of service tailored to the clients’ every need. “Our aim is to ensure that every client who enters Kings Domain receives a personally tailored styling experience that goes one step beyond hair. It’s an old school gentleman’s escape for today’s modern man,” said Scandizzo.

Services include clips, beard trims, superior cuts and of course the timeless barber shop staple, straight razor shaves.

Kings Domain Collins Street is located at Shop 1/12 Collins St Melbourne 3000.
