The ArtSeries Trophy offers a selection of Keune’s finest delegates an invaluable opportunity to showcase their vision and skill across two main categories: Apprentice and Senior hairstyling. The bi-annual competition provides an exciting platform for dedicated hairdressers to explore their creativity, each stylist tasked with creating their own interpretation of the ‘Nocturnal Reflection’ collection. The photographic compendium signifies the foremost step in the ArtSeries journey, with hairdressers invited to challenge their creativity and digitally capture their vision. Unveiled at Keune’s exclusive Gallery soiree, the collection features eleven artistic looks conceived by Keune’s respected Creative Team. Drawing aesthetic cues from the colours of nocturne, the enigmatic portfolio is at once masterfully envisioned, and seamlessly executed.

‘Nocturnal Reflection is about the inner darkness we hide within ourselves, and facing these fears head on. Every day we tightly control what others think about us by creating our own personal brand. We disguise our true emotions and personality by twisting the way we really want to act, solely to conform to what society says is the acceptable norm. When you look around, how do you really know who portrays a true reality? It’s time to face your fears and be proud to show your true inner self. The look is powerfully soft. It’s dark, yet electric and shows a blur between day and night. The colour pallet melts together with gradients and bold shades. Blue tones are accented with red and violet hues – like the jewel of the night. Slate to charcoal shades are combines with intense and offbeat warm yellow and coppers. Metallic reds and ash tones are used to accent. Each look shows strong longs, but is finished with soft edges to create distinct silhouettes’ – Keune

The Challenge: Challenge yourself, and prove you are one of the industry’s best hairstylists by entering the pinnacle of the ArtSeries – The Trophy. The Challenge is to present a professional quality, female photographic image, which would be worthy of gracing the front cover of a high-fashion magazine. Your image should take inspiration from Keune’s Nocturnal Reflection collection, and should demonstrate technical excellence in all aspects of colour, cut, style and finish. Be empowered, it’s time to reflect and push your boundaries.

Senior and Apprentice Winners will receive return economy airfare for one, as well as 5 nights accommodation to attend Keune’s International Master Tour 2018 as well as a 3-day advanced colour and cut workshop, sightseeing, dinners, transfers, $1,000AUD spending money, Interview and Image published in The Journal Magazine, Blog and Monthly Hournal Dose, Winners trophy, personalised Press Kit, Winners Salon Merchanise Kit, and 1 year complimentary Keune education to the value of $1,000.

Six Finalists from Each Category will receive return economy airfare to Sydney for two people, 2 nights accommodation and 2 tickets to attend the Day with Keune and the Annual Keune Foundation Ball 2017, Finalist trophy, personalised press kit and 1 year complimentary Keune education to the value of $500.
