Bespoke colour creative, Jodie Yakalis has been appointed as the first Australian and New Zealand Ambassador for importers N.H.B.S Nouvelle Hair & Beauty Supplies, representing colour brands Silky, Nouvelle, Lively, and JunctioX.
Jodie’s career includes working with the late great Sharon Maher of Synergy, John Azzi, Tanya Mancini (FMK Artistries) and Paulene Turnbull (Industry Cutters) as well as doing her grass roots training in Sydney’s west. Since then she has demonstrated leadership in colour through an impressive social media following and guest artist appearances in the industry.
The range of colour product lines represented by Jodie stem from manufacturers, Hair Styling Application (HSA) Spa of Milan, a highly reputed hair and beauty R&D company that has for three decades successfully provided innovative hair care worldwide.
“All products are ‘Salon Only’, they are high quality, and provide cost effectiveness for salons,” Jodie said. “And I really value that fact that the team at NHBS give a level of customer service that is second to none. “NHBS’s commitment to continually introduce current technology to the marketplace is also really important to me as a colourist and as someone who needs clients’ hair to be in the very best condition possible.
Petra Kostos, Operations Manager of NHBS described Jodie as “an out-of-the-box artist with an endless passion for colour.” “She has established a ‘fan base’ through Periscope, Facebook and other social media platforms, and is bound to attract aspiring colourists Australia wide, as well as the curious to her demonstrations and workshops.”
Whilst the NHBS education program will be announced shortly, it is confirmed that HSA’s International Artistic Director, Claudio Lapenna, from Italy will accompany Jodie on-stage at Hair Expo in June.
