LA BIOSTHETIQUE’s International Beauty Stylist Awards national judging has taken place for the fifth time this year in Sydney, naming the top five contenders for the prestigious title of Beauty Stylist of the Year.
Gathering the best talents from across New Zealand and Australia, stylists from within the LA BIOSTHETIQUE network submitted photo collections for the ‘best overall hair design’. The collections were judged by a panel of industry names; chaired by Ruth Browne and including Sandy Chong of Suki Hairdressing and AHC CEO, celebrity stylists Brad Ngata, and our very own David Mannah, Creative Director of The Journal.
“This year’s entries were the most competitive we’ve seen yet in the LA BIOSTHETIQUE Beauty Stylists awards, exhibiting both precision in technique and outstanding colour design” said Chairperson Ruth Browne. “We are thrilled to bring this level of talent from Australia and New Zealand under the European spotlight at the awards in Paris. “
The Top 5 finalists, in no particular order are:
- Joseph Debrincat of Foxy Salon, VIC
- Rachel Espley of Therapy Hair and Make Up, NSW
- Gess Mazis of La Bimbi, ACT
- Daniel Grayswood of La Bimbi, ACT
- Tamika Stavrouils of Zebu Hair, VIC
