INSPO: CANNES 2019 HAIR HEROES

Spanning little under two earth-halting weeks, Cannes Film Festival is the ultimate glamour extravaganza. Attracting a plethora of celebrities, silver screen sirens and supermodels – it’s undoubtedly one of the most sought after red carpets to tread. And for good reason.

In much the same league as the Met Gala and Oscars, Cannes is a moment for fashion to take the lead. Putting their best Choos forward and bringing their beauty A-game, celebs industry-wide descend upon the French Riviera – for 11 days of networking, parties and, of course red carpet premieres.

To celebrate the decadent designer photocall, we’re bringing you our favourite looks served thus far from Cannes 2019.

Bella Hadid

Bold as ever, Bella Hadid transcends the Cannes red carpet as only she can in a rouge Roberto Cavalli gown; her hair pulled high atop her head with a cascade of ringlets styled to overflow and spiral in every direction.

Helen Mirren

Pretty in pink; Mirren proves that pink hair is no longer just for the millennials.

Favouring a bold candy tone, the 73 years young actress debuted this fierce transformation at ‘The Best Years of a Life’ premiere at the 72nd annual event.

Elle Fanning

Hollywood darling – and the youngest member ever to join the Cannes Jury – Elle Fanning has us seriously amped for the return of the flower crown.

Twisting the actress’s golden locks into a wrap around milkmaid braid, stylist Jenda Alcorn added daisies and roses to create this fresh and grown-up crown; elevating the humble floral garland from its music festival roots (pun intended).

Amber Heard

Flipping the script on the classic French twist, actress Amber Heard combined the old school style with a retro side swoop, the unlikely pairing creating a somewhat futuristic up-do, completed with a bold coppery brown smokey eye and a nude lip.

Isabeli Fontana

Super slick, supermodel Isabeli Fontana showed off her flawless face with this stunning and simple style. The models’ deep brunette locks were artfully pulled back into an intricately twisted knot at the back.

Dita Von Teese

Bringing her signature pin-up style to the Riviera, burlesque babe Dita Von Teese wows with this stunning poodle up-do, keeping it classic with a timeless red lip and winged lid.

Selena Gomez

Making her debut on the Cannes carpet, Selena Gomez brought the Old Hollywood glamour we were waiting for, with a smoothly pulled back up-do finished with a flawless pair of knots.

The singer/actress upped the glam stakes with a dramatic winged eye and sultry red lip, skilfully applied by her makeup artist Hung Vanngo.
