EVENT: INSIDE KAO KOLLECTIVE LEADERSHIP RETREAT

At the tranquil Crystalbrook Byron Bay, salon owners and managers came together for the Kao Kollective Leadership Retreat, three days of professional development, wellness, and networking. Morning sessions included lawn yoga, cardio tennis, and “walk and talk” business discussions on the beach, creating space for both connection and reflection.

“Our Kollective Leadership Retreat was a remarkable opportunity for Salon Owners and Managers to come together to connect and reflect on what success means, personally and professionally,” said Chris Hudson, General Manager Kao Salon ANZ. “It was inspiring to see such connection and collaboration within our community, reinforcing our belief that true business success is only achievable when we also strive to be the best versions of ourselves.”

The first day at SOMA Byron Bay featured guided breathwork with co-founders Peter Ostick and Gary Gorrow, followed by a four-stage Visionary Workshop and a relaxed hinterland lunch. Back at Crystalbrook, industry leaders delivered focused business sessions: Mark Bouris shared his “Business Playbook,” Jack Delosa explored “Do Less, But Better,” and Lucy Jackson & Nikki Westcott discussed social media strategies.

The retreat closed with a “Celebration of Transformation” dinner at Frida’s Field – an evening of fine dining, live music, and dancing that wrapped up an energising and collaborative event.
