Twenty-five years of building a legacy, countless good hair days made possible and one very big question: what’s next for ghd?
ghd has officially marked 25 years of shaping the professional styling landscape, bringing together the industry for an intimate celebration of a legacy built on innovation, technology and an ongoing obsession with better hair.
“Our roots remain firmly grounded in professional hairdressing,” said ghd Head of Salon Selena Green. “Everything we do is for the needs of the stylist, salon owners and the clients you look after every single day.”

Since launching its original styler in 2001, ghd has transformed the humble hair straightener into a category-defining piece of professional kit, continuing to push the boundaries of heat technology through innovations including tri-zone®, dual-zone and its latest Heat-Adapt Technology.
As the brand looks back on its 25-year history, the timing also coincides with the Australian launch of ghd sculpt™ – the brand’s most advanced styler to date.
For ghd CEO Jeroen Temmerman, the launch represents more than another innovation – it’s a complete reimagining of what a styler can be.
“For 25 years, ghd has led the industry in heat technology and earned its position as the UK’s number one styler brand. Reinvention is at the heart of who we are, and with ghd sculpt™, powered by our most advanced interactive technology, we’re taking a transformative step forward to completely reinvent the styler category. ghd sculpt™ is not just a styler, but the future of interactive, AI-driven beauty-tech – delivering flawless results with zero damage.”

Powered by AI-driven Heat-Adapt Technology, sculpt™ takes a fundamentally different approach to heat styling, measuring the temperature of the hair itself and making 2,900 measurements every second to intelligently adapt heat as you style.
With up to 90 per cent more shine, 2.5 times less frizz and styling five times faster than the original ghd styler, sculpt™ is a serious statement of intent for the next era of hair technology.
Because if the last 25 years were about reinventing the styler, ghd sculpt™ is making one thing clear: the future of heat styling is personal, responsive and, according to ghd, damage-free.

“What excites me the most is what is to come in the future as consumer expectations evolve, and technologies advance,” said ghd Interim Managing Director Bhavnitha Singh, before raising a toast to the industry that has been part of ghd’s 25-year journey.
“This is a moment for us all to raise a glass to our salon partners, our media, our creatives and the Australian and New Zealand hairdressing industry. Cheers to you, and cheers to 25 years of ghd.”
Salut, ghd – to 25 years of changing the game, one good hair day at a time.
